Steve Fortune - Biography

 

Steve FortuneSteve's started his career as a dancer and singer performing in cabaret all over Europe and the Middle East . On his return to the UK he worked in summer season and pantomime and in 1982 he appeared in the West - End in ‘Underneath the Arches as a member of the chorus and understudying the role of Chesney Allen, which he played on a number of occasions opposite both Roy Hudd and the late Bernie Winters . This was followed by numerous shows up and down the country including Sweet Charity at the Crucible Theatre, Sheffield, The Music Man at the Theatre Royal, Plymouth and Pirates of Penzance at the Opera House, Manchester, as well as two shows at the Belgrade Theatre, Coventry … Jesus Christ Superstar and Annie. In 1997 he played the role of Jaggers in the musical tour of Great Expectations.

In 1986 he was back in the West End in Annie Get Your Gun , and again in 1987 in the Abba, Tim Rice musical Chess. At the end of 1998 Steve was in the revival of Jesus Christ Superstar which re-opened the Lyceum Theatre after more than forty years of darkness. In 2000 he appeared in the ill fated Hard Times starring Roy Hudd and Brian Blessed and in 2002 in the acclaimed Noises Off at the Piccadilly .

In 2004 he took over the role of the Sheriff in the national tour of Whistle down the wind and later that year was touring once again as Caiaphas in Jesus Christ Superstar. Most recently he appeared alongside Sir Ian McKellen in Aladdin at the Old Vic Theatre .

Steve himself is an accomplished pantomime dame having played Nanny Nora in Sleeping Beauty, Dame Trot in Jack and the Beanstalk and the greatest dame of all Twanky in Aladdin.

In between musicals Steve has also played classical roles such as Horatio in Hamlet, Hortensio in The Taming of the Shrew and Montague in Romeo and Juliet at the Old Rep in Birmingham and the Lyric Hammersmith.

On television he has appeared in The Bill, Casualty, Eastenders,Only Fools and Horses, Birds of a Feather, Nelsons Column, Back up and The Jump. He has also appeared in numerous commercials advertising everything from woodstain to bananas!

Valerie Cutko - Biography

 

Valerie CutkoVALERIE CUTKO's roles in the UK have included Ninotchka in Silk Stockings for the Lost Musicals at Sadler's Wells (a role she reprised in New York), the Queen of Transylvania in My Fair Lady at the National Theatre and the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, Mme. Egorova in Beautiful and Damned in the West End, Mme. Giry in the UK tour of The Phantom of the Opera, Nimue in Camelot at the Covent Garden Festival and Martin Charnin¹s 9 1/2 Quid Revue at the King¹s Head, Islington. She has performed her solo cabaret at London venues including the Jermyn Street Theatre, the pit bar at the Old Vic Theatre, Too2Much and Lauderdale House. She appeared in the Warner Bros. film of The Phantom of the Opera and the BBC TV series The Robinsons.

New York credits include Rafaella in Grand Hotel on Broadway, Alcestis and The Balcony at the American Repertory Theatre, Nine and Fanny at the Papermill Playhouse and Skin Of the Night at LaMama Experimental Theatre Club. In Europe she was a featured soloist at the Monte Carlo Sporting Club and toured in Evita and Jesus Christ Superstar.

Steve Weller - Biography

 

Steve Weller

Stephen trained at the University of Plymouth and at Mountview Theatre School. His professional debut was in the London Production of Les Miserables (Palace Theatre) where he understudied and played Enjolras. He has appeared as a soloist in a variety of Concerts including Showtime At The Stadium (BBC Wales); Sondheim Tonight (Barbican), and Salute to the Stars (Royal Albert Hall. He appeared in a production of Ken Hill's Phantom of the Opera (Theatre Royal, Lincoln) playing Raoul; in Kuala Lumpur with Stars Of The Musicals (West End International): a soloist at the Broadway Music Theatre, Tokyo and most recently in the title role in the World Premiere production of Abelard & Heloise (Newcastle, NSW). Stephen also works extensively with the vocal cabaret group ‘The WestEnders'.

Stephen played the title role in the 1999 UK Tour of Martin Guerre (WYP/Cameron Mackintosh) and recreated the role on the 1999 Cast Recording (First Night Records). Other recent work includes Jerry Springer "The Opera" (BAC, London); Woman in White (Sydmonton Festival) and most recently as Harry & Young Ebenezer in Scrooge opposite Shane Richie.

With Capital Voices, Stephen also works as a session singer and backing vocalist for performers including Martine McCutcheon (for Television and her Album Musicality); Michael Ball; Gareth Gates; Michael Crawford; Will Young. Other recording work includes Stars Of The Musicals (JAY Records); Sondheim Tonight (Barbican); the title role in Merrick (Pirate Productions); Copacabana (Danish Cast recording) and demo work for Elton John and Warner Chappell Music.
